Day 1 – Sunday

In our prĂ­vate bus we will leave Quito and arrive, after 90 minutes, in Papallactas, a bathing resort in the mountains where we will relax in hot springs that posess healing substances. After lunch we will keep on driving to the Amazon, and stop in Cotundo, to visit El ARCA, an animal rescue camp. In the evening we will arrive in Tena, where we will have dinner next to the rivers Pano and Tena.

Day 2 – Monday

After a short drive to Puerto Napo we will follow a wonderful walking path amidst exuberant, selvatic plants and arrive after about 2 hours at LAS LATAS, a waterfall of 15 metres height. After taking a refreshing bath, we will walk back and continue our trip to Misahualli, to relax at the river Napo, make a boat trip and observe the dozens of monkies in their joyful activities.

Day 3 Tuesday

On our last day in the Amazon we will visit the jungle. A Quechua guide will present us his culture and village: RIO BLANCO. We will meet a shaman, get to know a lot of different medicinal plants, listen to Quechua music, learn to speak a bit of Quechua, try the typical food and drinks and wash gold at the river. In the evening we will drive to Quito.

  • Day 4 – Wednesday

    In the morning we will leave the Coast by plane and after a short stop in Quito we will drive to Otavalo. This is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Ecuador. We will visit the Lagoon of Mojanda and the biggest handicrafts market of Ecuador. In the evening we will taste the typical dishes of the Ecuatorian Sierra and enjoy live music of a Quechua band.

    Day 5 – Thursday

    We will drive back to Quito to experience some highly interesting physical experiments at the Half of the World ”Mitad del Mundo” on the equatorial line. In the afternoon, we will get to know the historical center of Quito. It is famous for its chapels, churches and architecture from the beginning of the 20th century. It is titled mundane patrimony by the UNESCO.

    We also will visit the museum of the famous ecuatorian painter Guayasamin and will have a farewell-dinner in a typical restaurant .
